I've had so many different instructions about brushing, what's the right way to brush my teeth anyway?

Dear Confused,

I know it's confusing; there are so many different opinions, brands and advice. When you come in for your next cleaning and check-up, I'll gladly demonstrate the proper way to brush.

For now, make sure to use a soft toothbrush. Brush in small circular motions and brush all the surfaces of your teeth and gumline. Spend a full two minutes per brushing session and change your toothbrush every three to four months.

If it has been six months, pick up that phone and call the office to make that appointment with me!
